Find your centre
Life has a great talent for unpredictability. We never really know from one day to another what we may have to contend with. Whether it is at home or at work or neither, we must find the way to overcome any situation regardless of difficulty.
To become equipped we must first find our centre. This is the fulcrum point from which we can lever our new found wisdom and courage. Take a few steps back, listen to your heart, breathe deeply and face the world however large or small it may seem.
Don't put on a act, the only meaningful audience is you, be yourself and everyone around you will take notice. You will gain respect for being true to yourself.
Once we have a solid platform from which to start, we become so much more. Configure your auto-pilot correctly and when you encounter hard times in your life allow your auto-pilot to kick in and carry you through.
Practice what you preach.
Much easier said than done. Take regular exercise a few times a week. This will maintain you physical condition and much more importantly aid spiritual development.
Eat good food. No need for any special diet, just don't eat too much junk. This kind of food just clogs up you flow of energy. Nothing heavy before bedtime, you need to improve your quality of sleep, not the quantity.
Take time out to meditate. This part really is up to you, any type of meditation will do. Disconnect from your current reality.
Relaxation exercise is something I do encourage. Try relaxing all of you muscles one by one working up from your toes right up to your head. After lie in complete stillness and breathe slowly. After a time, long or short, you will experience sensation of something akin to floating. To get to this stage takes practice but once achieved is infinitely rewarding.
Indulge in you hobbies. Really INDULGE. Enlightenment takes on many guises.
